Amazing God Stories

God Stirs My Mind And My Spirit In New And Deeper Ways!
“God used the conference last weekend to take my heart captive.  For months, I had been praying that I would fall more in love with God.  All the while, I felt like I was working to make myself love Him, trying to force a response by my own human effort.  I prayed that God would fill me with love for Him and began studying Scriptures about God’s love.  While these are great things, God chose not to transform my heart by my own effort.

God began working on my heart the moment I came to the conference for the first session on the first night.  It was as if every single message during the conference, including the service at Evergreen and the additional time of prayer and prophecy, was handcrafted for me to address what I needed to hear.  However, the second session (first session on Saturday) impacted me the most, marking the beginning of the most drastic move of God in my life in years.

During the teaching about God’s love for people and His hunger for whole-hearted devotion and love from His people, God filled me with an overwhelming sense and understanding of His vast, intense love for us.  As Bob’s words began to seep into my spirit, God made His love incredibly real to me.

This experience was more than emotion.  Love is tied to emotions, but love is also so much more.  God blessed me with an emotional response, but my mind and spirit were renewed in an incredible way as well.  As a result of this experience, God has been stirring me in new ways, and I am excited about what God is doing in my life as well as the lives of others that He touched at the conference.”

New Vision For Christ-Exalted Transformation!
“This was a wonderful event! I thank God for your courage and vision to see the need for this event and to bring in The Joseph Company Team. As a pastor, it is easy to get caught up in the ‘church bubble’ and see the world through the lenses of ‘church life.’ This conference helped remove these more narrow lenses and replace them with Jesus’ wide-angle, Kingdom lenses. The conference was very helpful for inspiring in me a passion for God’s movement in the marketplace. It also inspired a deeper passion to encourage our folks at Evergreen and beyond to seek God’s face every moment of every day as the foundational activity for all they do in their workplaces. Finally, God opened my eyes to what he wants to do through his Church in Charlottesville. It inspired a deeper love for the pastors and churches he has planted in our city. I long to see walls come down and for each of us to come together through love to bring about greater eternal, Christ-exalting transformation in our area. Thanks again for a life-changing experience.”

A Call To LOVE … Even In The ‘Little’ Things
“I came into the conference desiring for the Lord to speak purpose into my job.  I am the manager of a frozen yogurt shop... not the highest calling, some would say. I have struggled throughout the past few months with feelings of inferiority and insignificance as I glance around at friends who seem to be working "important" jobs.  With so many talents and passions, I have felt constrained and restricted in my job these past few months.  A typical day consists of preparing food, serving customers, and cleaning.  I have wondered many times whether my job has "Kingdom value" and yet I know, without a doubt, that the Lord has called me to this job and is telling me to stay put for the time being.  During the conference, God spoke to my heart numerous times.  I heard Him speak, "You want so badly to minister to others.  But I want you to minister to me.  Only then will you see ministering to others AS ministering to me".  This word humbled me.  I was brought to my knees as I remembered what my calling really is:  to love God with all of my heart and soul and mind and strength and to love the people around me.  That is the highest calling and I walked away from the conference desiring to do just that.  It wasn't until a few days into the next week that I heard God speak again.  "Just be faithful with a little.  That is all I am asking you to do.  Love your employees.  Love your customers.  Work your hardest.  Honor your boss.  Just be faithful with a little", I heard Him say and once again, I was humbled.

The past week hasn't looked that different than previous weeks.  Customers aren't getting saved.  The spiritual atmosphere within the four walls of the shop doesn't feel that different.  However, I know that work was done within my heart.  God is uprooting the desire within me to feel important and significant in the eyes of man and He is replacing it with a confidence that my reward is in Him and Him alone.  "Do not be conformed any longer to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God."  My mind has been renewed and my heart, transformed.  The will of God has been set before me and I am choosing to consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Him.  I will battle to love Him and to love the ones that He has put around me.  That, and that alone, is my calling.”
